The Ministry of the Center governs matters pertaining to the emperor's living quarters and lifestyle.
Chief Administrator Of The Ministry Of The Center - The holder of this title oversees the inspection of the interior apartments of the palace, I.E. the living quarters of the emperor. This is one of the positions that is allowed to retain their swords even in the presence of the emperor, showing the great deal of trust that is placed on them. This chief administrator is allotted four assistant administrators.
Chamberlains - Eight chamberlains manage the living quarters of the emperor.
Head of Imperial Servants - It is the duty of this title holder to manage and oversee the work of the ninety inner household servants. Their duties include cleaning and maintenance of the inner household.

Chief Court Tailor - The emperor's personal tailor, charged with coordinating and managing the emperor's wardrobe. The clothing of the emperor should be made of no less than the finest materials, and the colors chosen must reflect the emperor's status, situation, as well as every nuance of the season.
Chief Court Astrologer - A scholar well versed in the ancient arts of divining information from dates and times.
Chief Court Calendar-Maker - The calendar of Asajima is divided into twelve primary months, but is also seen as twenty-four solar terms and further divided by seventy-two seasonal cues. Furthermore, the the actions of the emperor are governed by the rokuyo, a series of six days which predict good and bad fortune.
Chief Court Astronomer - A scholar who's duty lies in examining the sky for heavenly omens and predicting celestial phenomenon.
Chief Court Time-Keeper - Lacking mechanical forms of timekeeping, the time-keeper is one of the few people truly aware of what time of day or night it may be, and this important information can be used in cooperation with the court astrologer to select times favorable for certain actions.
Chief Court Architect - When construction must be carried out within the palace, the duty of the architect is to be certain that new additions and modifications are safe and will stand the tests of time, as well as falling within what is stylish and fitting of the emperor, and what is proper given the rules placed upon the building of one's home.
